Capricorn Bulk Haulage is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to join our Clermont Coal Yard team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys leading by example, working as part of a close-knit team, and taking responsibility for safe and efficient day-to-day operations.
Working closely with the Coalyard Manager, you’ll help oversee daily activities across the yard and step into a leadership role when the Manager is off site. You’ll play a key part in ensuring production targets are met, safety standards are maintained, and our team continues to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
As the Supervisor, you’ll coordinate and support daily coal yard operations, providing guidance and direction to Truck Drivers and HME Operators while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and legislative requirements.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong operational experience with natural leadership abilities and enjoys mentoring others to achieve great results.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading safe and efficient day-to-day coal yard operations.
- Supporting and directing operators and drivers to achieve production targets.
- Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Liaising with mine personnel to ensure a seamless supply of coal.
- Completing production, safety, and operational documentation.
- Monitoring equipment performance and identifying maintenance requirements.
- Promoting a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and collaboration.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the site.
- Assisting with training, mentoring, and coaching team members.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for operations when the Coalyard Manager is not on site.
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and confident leading from the front.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience operating loaders, excavators, crushers, screens, or other heavy mobile equipment.
- A strong commitment to safety and workplace compliance
- MC Licence desirable.
- S123 and G2 qualifications or willingness to obtain.
- Sound knowledge of mining, transport, or bulk material handling operations.
- The ability to identify equipment issues and support maintenance planning.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to mentor and support others.pport maintenance planning.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Competent computer skills for reporting and operational documentation.

We’re looking for a Parts & Assets Officer to join our team in Clermont. You will play an important role in supporting maintenance and operational teams by ensuring parts, consumables, and critical assets are available when needed. You will be responsible for purchasing, inventory control, and maintaining accurate records across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the day-to-day operation of our parts and inventory stores.
- Purchasing parts, equipment, and consumables to support fleet maintenance activities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring critical spare parts are always available.
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Keeping the warehouse and storage areas safe, organised, and efficient.
- Supporting maintenance and operational teams with their parts and procurement requirements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is organised and can manage competing priorities.
- Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion.
- Has good attention to detail and keeps accurate records.pliers.
- Communicates well with suppliers, workshop personnel, and operations teams.
- Enjoys finding solutions and making things happen.
- Can work independently while also being part of a team.
- Is comfortable using computer systems and learning new processes.
A forklift licence would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. Experience with maintenance, fleet, inventory, or procurement systems would also be highly regarded.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role offers stable, long-term employment, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of heavy mobile plant and transport equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and maintain heavy mobile plant and transport equipment
- Carry out breakdown repairs and scheduled servicing
- Interpret and apply technical manuals and service documentation
- Complete accurate service reports and job-related documentation

Equipment Exposure (Highly Regarded)
Experience working with the following equipment will be highly regarded:

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence
